This is a collection of life stories, anecdotes, and experiences embedded in the sounds of a local outdoor market. Every participant was allowed to talk freely for as long as they liked. This narrative was then condensed into a usable length and a (hopefully) sympathetic background composed. All are genuine people talking about themselves with the exception of 'Tynemouth' which is a reading of a letter written by a 12c monk. He is writing to a friend at his home abbey and complains bitterly about being sent to such an inhospitable and distant outpost
